Job summary

upGrad is seeking an enthusiastic Admission Counselor to guide working professionals in selecting the right programs based on career goals and experience. You will counsel prospects on program details, eligibility, and career benefits, and follow up to convert leads into enrolled students.

The role requires excellent communication, strong negotiation and objection-handling skills, and comfort with sales targets.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in Inside Sales, EdTech Sales, Admission Counseling, Telesales, or Business Development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong convincing, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities.
• Comfortable working with sales targets and performance metrics.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable learning programs.
• Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.
• Candidates from EdTech, Education, BFSI, Telecom, or other sales-driven industries are preferred.
• Willingness to work from the Pune office.
