Job summary

Geofast Industries seeks an Executive Finance & Accounts to join the plant finance team, driving core accounting, month-end closes, and statutory compliance for contract manufacturing operations in Salna, Bargarh.

You will handle accounts payable/receivable, cash flow projections, bank relations, and provide financial insights to support operations and decision-making. A B.Com or MBA (Finance) with 2–8 years in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or MBA – Finance.
• 2–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Mandatory: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books including journals, ledgers, and schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process supplier invoices, employee claims, and payments accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts receivable portfolio, monitor outstanding debts, and ensure timely collections.
• Prepare cash flow projections and monitor daily banking transactions.
• Maintain relationships with banks for routine transactions, fund transfers, and account matters.
• Ensure GST, TDS, Income Tax compliance and coordinate with auditors.

Position Overview

The Executive Finance & Accounts will be a key member of the Plant finance team, responsible for managing core accounting functions while providing critical financial insights specific to contract manufacturing operations. This role bridges the factory-level accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and decision support for business stakeholders.

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts including journals, ledgers, and supporting schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements and reconcile general ledger accounts.

2. Accounts Payable, Receivable & Treasury

• Process supplier invoices, employee claims, and payments accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts receivable portfolio, monitor outstanding debts, and ensure timely collections.
• Prepare cash flow projections and monitor daily banking transactions.
• Maintain relationships with banks for routine transactions, fund transfers, and account matters.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documents and explanations.
• Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings and statutory audits.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA – Finance).

Experience

• 2–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Mandatory: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment – contract manufacturing, FMCG, textiles, electronics, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis is essential.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Tally Prime / MS Dynamics).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
