Position Overview
The Executive Finance & Accounts will be a key member of the Plant finance team, responsible for managing core accounting functions while providing critical financial insights specific to contract manufacturing operations. This role bridges the factory-level accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and decision support for business stakeholders.
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts including journals, ledgers, and supporting schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and reconcile general ledger accounts.
2. Accounts Payable, Receivable & Treasury
- Process supplier invoices, employee claims, and payments accurately and on time.
- Manage accounts receivable portfolio, monitor outstanding debts, and ensure timely collections.
- Prepare cash flow projections and monitor daily banking transactions.
- Maintain relationships with banks for routine transactions, fund transfers, and account matters.
3. Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documents and explanations.
- Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings and statutory audits.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA – Finance).
Experience
- 2–8 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Mandatory: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment – contract manufacturing, FMCG, textiles, electronics, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience with manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis is essential.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Tally Prime / MS Dynamics).
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
