WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Manager Accounts & Finance is responsible for running the day-to-day finance and accounts function across the groups manufacturing companies. The role owns book closure, statutory compliance, taxation, MIS, audits, banking operations, working capital management.
This role is the operational backbone of the finance function and the single point of accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all financial records and statutory filings across the group entities.

EXPERIENCE
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; CMA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute will also be considered.
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in accounts and finance, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Hands-on experience of handling multi-entity / multi-plant accounting, book closure, and statutory compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, TDS/TCS, and labour-related financial compliances.
- Practical exposure to statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits in a manufacturing context.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally Prime / Navision / Zoho) and advanced Excel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting, Book Closure & Reporting
- Own end-to-end accounting, ledger scrutiny, and book closure for all group entities as per Ind AS / Indian GAAP.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures and preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation schedules, and capex accounting in line with policy.
- Prepare schedules and notes to accounts for statutory and consolidated reporting.
- Drive accuracy and discipline in journal entries, reconciliations, and inter-company eliminations.
Statutory Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure 100% on-time compliance with GST (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C), TDS/TCS (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ), Income Tax, Advance Tax, and Professional Tax across all entities.
- Handle assessments, notices, appeals, and representations before GST and Income Tax authorities, in coordination with the CFO and consultants.
- Support transfer pricing documentation, 3CEB filings, and inter-company / related-party transaction reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, DPT-3, DIR-3 KYC) in coordination with the Company Secretary.
- Maintain a compliance calendar with zero tolerance for missed statutory deadlines or penalties.
Audits & Internal Controls
- Manage statutory, internal, tax, cost, and GST audits across all group entities; coordinate with external auditors for timely closure.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation; resolve audit queries with time-bound actions.
- Strengthen internal financial controls (IFC), SOPs, and delegation of authority across entities and plants.
- Implement audit recommendations and drive corrective actions across the finance function.
MIS, Budgeting & Variance Analysis
- Prepare and publish monthly MIS, departmental P&Ls, dashboards, and variance analysis for the management.
- Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecast process; track actual vs budget performance entity-wise and plant-wise.
- Provide cost, margin, and profitability analysis to support business decisions.
- Drive accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all management reports and KPI dashboards.
Costing, Inventory & Working Capital
- Support product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis for raw materials, recycled granules, and finished goods.
- Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliations for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, stores & spares, and scrap.
- Monitor and improve working capital cycle - debtor days, inventory days, and creditor days - with clear entity-wise targets.
Banking, Treasury & Cash Flow
- Manage day-to-day banking operations, bank reconciliations, and CC/OD/term loan utilisation across all entities.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, fund flow statements, and short-term liquidity plans for management review.
- Support preparation of CMA data, stock statements, and lender submissions for working capital and term loan facilities.
- Track loan covenants, interest servicing, and forex transactions; flag exceptions to the management.
Team & Process Management
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and executives across corporate office and plant locations.
- Standardise accounting processes, policies, and reporting formats across all group entities.
- Drive ERP discipline, master data accuracy, and process automation across the finance function.
- Liaise effectively with cross-functional teams - Sales, Operations, HR, Procurement, and Stores.
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and effectiveness of the ERP for accounts, inventory, and dispatch.
- Identify and implement automation and digitisation opportunities in routine accounting and reporting workflows.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement within the team.
