Job summary

Deloitte Shared Services India is seeking a finance professional with 5–8 years of experience to support end-to-end finance processes for client engagements in Mumbai. The role emphasizes Ind AS/IFRS knowledge, GL review, and robust management reporting.

You will coordinate with auditors, mentor a junior team, and ensure timely month-end closing as per timelines. Prior ERP experience with Tally and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance function or managing a client’s finance function end-to-end.
• Exposure in preparation of financial statements (preferably under Ind AS).
• Experience in reviewing and processing transactions from a GL perspective including recording entries for assets, liabilities, investments, borrowings, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Provide technical guidance on Ind AS/IFRS to the client.
• Exposure to reconciliations such as bank statements, customer accounts, related party, and tax, investments, borrowings.
• Prepare monthly management reporting statements including balance sheet, P&L, budget vs actuals, ageing analyses.
• Data entry, master data management, accounting, journal entry, book closure, and ERP reporting; practical exposure to Tally and SAP.
• Coordinate with auditors for queries and audit documentation.
• Maintain three-way link between Partner, professionals, and clients.
• Mentor team members to maximize contributions and ensure timely monthly closings.

Responsibilities

• Work in a finance function or manage a client’s finance function end-to-end.
• Prepare financial statements under Ind AS and IFRS guidance.
• Review and process GL transactions across assets, liabilities, and other items.
• Provide technical Ind AS/IFRS guidance to clients.
• Handle reconciliations including bank, customer, related party, taxes, and investments.
• Produce monthly management reports: balance sheet, P&L, budgets vs actuals, ageing.
• Maintain ERP data entries, journal entries, closing processes, and reporting (Tally/SAP).
• Coordinate auditors to resolve queries and prepare audit docs.
• Ensure clear three-way communication between Partner, professionals, and clients.
• Mentor juniors to achieve timely month-end close and quality deliverables.

Role & responsibilities

• You should have good experience of working in a finance function or managing a clients finance function on an end-to-end basis
• You should have exposure in preparation of financial statements (preferably under Ind AS)
• You should have experience in reviewing and processing transactions from a GL perspective including recording / reviewing entries for assets, liabilities, investments, borrowings, fixed assets, employee related transactions etc.
• You should have experience with providing technical guidance to the client with respect to Ind AS / IFRS
• You should have good exposure on reconciliation related activities such as reconciliation of bank statements to books, customer account reconciliations, related party reconciliations, accounting of taxes, investments, borrowings etc.
• You should be able to prepare monthly management reporting statements including balance sheet, statement of profit & loss, budget vs actuals, ageing analysis for various headers etc.
• You should have good experience of data entry, master data management, accounting, journal entry, book closure and reporting in ERP. Should have practical exposure in ERP such as Tally ERP and SAP.
• You should be able to coordinate with auditors for resolution of queries, preparation of audit documentation.
• Ensure three-way link between Partner, other professionals, and clients.
• Actively mentor team members to maximize their contribution to achieve required outcomes.
• You should be able to run and manage monthly closing activities according to the pre-agreed timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 8 years of expereince
• Education : Bcom, MBA,ACCA,CA
• Ind AS/IFRS: acceptable level
• Experience in handling statutory dues (GST/TDS)
• Experience in book closing activities
