Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru/India is seeking a General Ledger professional to support banking transactions and month-end closing processes. You will coordinate with internal teams to resolve queries, process journals, and reconcile ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You should have 2–4 years in general accounting, BRS and treasury accounting, with strong MS Office and SAP-CFIN/S4 Hana skills. Flexibility for shifts and collaborative mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AP, AR, GA, and IG teams to resolve queries.
• Liaise with country teams to obtain bank transaction details for IHB and external banks.
• Process JEs in books of accounts.
• Perform monthly R2R closing activities.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with business controllers.

This Position reports to:

Accounting & Reporting Manager - General Accounting

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate and get accounting details for bank transactions
• Possess strong knowledge of bank accounting processes, including IHB and intergroup transactions
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in AP, AR, GA, and IG teams to resolve queries effectively.
• Liaise with FAO country teams to obtain accounting details for bank transactions related to both IHB and external banks
• Process JE in books of accounts
• Perform R2R monthly closing activities
• Perform general ledger account reconciliation
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with business controllers.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in General Accounting, BRS, Treasury Accounting.
