Job summary

Red Earth Steels in Mumbai seeks an experienced export accounting professional to manage multi-currency invoicing, DGFT e-BRC generation, and IGST/GST compliance. You will coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders and banks to ensure timely reconciliations and remittances.

The role requires at least 3 years in an export company, strong Tally Prime and MS Excel skills, and familiarity with ICEGATE, DGFT, and export documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in an export company
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, including multi-currency entries
• Practical experience with shipping bills, BRC/e-BRC, EDPMS, FIRC, LUT, IGST refund, RoDTEP and Duty Drawback
• Familiarity with the ICEGATE, DGFT and GST portals
• Good knowledge of GST and TDS
• Working knowledge of MS Excel
• Able to coordinate with the bank, CHA, freight forwarders and the CA

Responsibilities

• Record export sales invoices in foreign currency (USD/EUR) in Tally and account for exchange rate differences (gain/loss)
• Match export invoices with shipping bills, BL/AWB and packing lists
• Track export realization against each shipping bill and follow up on outstanding foreign receivables
• Handle inward remittances, FIRC/e-FIRC, and closing of bills in EDPMS with the bank
• Generate and track e-BRC on DGFT
• Share GST details every month (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), with correct reporting of exports with payment of IGST
• Follow up on IGST refunds and refunds of unutilised ITC on exports
• Handle RoDTEP and Duty Drawback claims, scrip/credit tracking, and ICEGATE reconciliation
• Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records and ensure correct ITC claims
• Book local purchases from suppliers, plus CHA, freight forwarder, courier, inspection (TPI) and testing lab bills
• Maintain supplier ledgers and schedule payments
• Deduct TDS, file TDS returns and issue Form 16A
