Job summary

Rookie Ninja Distribution seeks an Accountant to manage books, GST compliance, and reporting across offline and online channels. You will handle invoicing, GST and statutory filings, and assist audits in a high-volume distribution setup.

Ideally, you have 2–5 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Tally or Zoho Books, and strong Excel skills to support monthly P&L and MIS reporting. This is an on-site role in Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent with 2–5 years accounting experience.
• Hands-on proficiency in Tally or Zoho Books and MS Excel.
• Strong GST, TDS knowledge and Indian statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally / Zoho Books / similar software.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately.
• Handle GST computation, filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Perform bank, vendor, customer, and marketplace-payout reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist in preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and MIS reports.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate with sales, e-commerce, and warehouse teams to reconcile stock, sales, and payments.

The Accountant maintains accurate books of accounts and ensures smooth day-to-day financial operations for Rookie Ninja Distribution. You will manage invoicing, GST and statutory compliance, reconciliations, and reporting — with particular attention to the high transaction volumes typical of a distribution business selling across offline and online channels

What you'll do

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally / Zoho Books / similar accounting software.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, credit notes, and payment entries accurately.
• Handle GST computation, filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS, and other statutory compliance and returns.
• Perform bank, vendor, customer, and marketplace-payout reconciliations regularly.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and track credit.
• Assist in preparing monthly P&L, balance sheet, and MIS reports for management.
• Support internal and statutory audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate with sales, e-commerce, and warehouse teams to reconcile stock, sales, and payments.

What we're looking for

• B.Com / M.Com / equivalent, with 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Hands-on proficiency in Tally (and/or Zoho Books) and MS Excel.
• Solid working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian statutory compliance.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes and meet reporting deadlines

Nice to have

• Experience in a distribution, trading, retail, or e-commerce business.
• Familiarity with reconciling marketplace (Amazon/Flipkart) settlement reports.
• CA Inter / CMA (part-qualified) is a plus.
