Job summary

Solvix Jewellery is seeking a responsible Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a jewellery retail store. The role requires strong knowledge of Tally, GST, MS Excel, and stock and ledger management with attention to detail.

Ideal candidates have experience in jewellery/retail accounting, 2–4 years in similar roles, and a B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification. You will work closely with auditors and CA for compliance and closing activities.

Qualifications

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
• Handle sales and purchase accounting and invoice entries.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
• Manage cash and bank transactions and perform bank reconciliation.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain daily cash book and expense records.
• Prepare outstanding payment and collection reports.
• Handle GST-related accounting, reconciliation and documentation.
• Maintain jewellery/gold stock-related accounting and reconciliation.
• Reconcile physical stock with accounting records.

We are looking for a responsible, experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our jewellery retail store.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Tally, GST, MS Excel, sales & purchase accounting, stock accounting and ledger management. Experience in the jewellery or retail industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
• Handle sales and purchase accounting and invoice entries.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
• Manage cash and bank transactions and perform bank reconciliation.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain daily cash book and expense records.
• Prepare outstanding payment and collection reports.
• Handle GST-related accounting, reconciliation and documentation.
• Maintain jewellery/gold stock-related accounting and reconciliation.
• Reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
• Maintain accurate records of jewellery purchases, sales, returns and transfers.
• Handle karigar/job-work accounting and reconciliation, if applicable.
• Coordinate with CA/auditor for accounting, GST and other compliance requirements.
• Prepare monthly reports and assist in month-end/year-end closing.
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all financial records.

• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Should be comfortable handling confidential financial information.
