Job summary

Xylem Learning App is seeking an Academic Mentor- Online in Kozhikode, Kerala. The role focuses on onboarding students, maintaining strong relationships, and monitoring academic progress through regular updates and parent communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; freshers welcome to apply.
• Experience in student mentoring, academic mentoring, customer success, education, or EdTech preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Onboard students smoothly and guide them on using the learning platform and app; maintain relationships throughout their learning journey.
• Develop strategies to improve student retention and support renewals and batch migrations.
• Track attendance, performance, and participation; coordinate to address learning gaps and concerns.
• Disseminate class schedules, reminders, updates, and announcements; serve as primary contact for queries.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents; conduct regular progress meetings and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate student records and deliver MIS reports on time; ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support academic events, exams, orientations, and student engagement activities.
• Collaborate with academic, operations, and student support teams to improve student experience.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Student Onboarding Relationship Management Ensure smooth onboarding of newly enrolled students. Guide students on using the learning platform, mobile application, and other academic resources. Build and maintain strong relationships with students throughout their learning journey. Ensure regular interaction with assigned students through scheduled follow-up calls.
• 2. Student Retention Engagement Develop strategies to improve student retention and encourage continuation into the next academic year. Identify disengaged students and take proactive measures to improve participation and satisfaction. Support renewal and batch migration processes for existing students.
• 3. Academic Progress Monitoring Track student attendance, academic performance, and participation. Monitor the progress of top-performing students and ensure timely collection of examination results. Coordinate with faculty and academic teams to address learning gaps and student concerns.
• 4. Communication Information Dissemination Ensure timely communication of live class schedules, reminders, rescheduled classes, cancellations, examination updates, and important announcements. Act as the primary point of contact for students and parents regarding academic-related queries. Minimize communication delays and resolve concerns promptly.
• 5. Parent Relationship Management Build positive relationships with parents through regular communication. Schedule and conduct parent meetings to discuss student progress, attendance, and academic performance. Address parent concerns professionally and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• 6. Documentation Reporting Maintain accurate student records and academic documentation. Submit reports, trackers, and MIS updates within specified timelines. Ensure all reports are error-free and comply with organizational standards.
• 7. Event Academic Support Participate in academic events, examinations, orientations, seminars, and other activities assigned by the Team Lead. Support the successful execution of student engagement initiatives and institutional events.
• 8. Team Collaboration Continuous Improvement Work closely with academic, operations, and student support teams to enhance the student experience.

Educational Qualification
