About the Role

We are looking for a Student Counselor who can guide students and parents in understanding research-oriented career paths and help them choose the right academic programs based on their interests, goals, and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents regarding research career opportunities and pathways such as IAT, NEST, IISc, IISER, and related programs.
• Understand students academic interests, career goals, and aspirations to recommend suitable programs.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with students and parents.
• Handle student leads, follow-ups, and conversions through structured counseling processes.
• Maintain and regularly update the CRM with accurate lead details, interactions, and follow-up status.
• Track student conversations and maintain detailed records of counseling activities.
• Coordinate with academic and support teams to ensure smooth communication and student experience.
• Support webinars, presentations, student demos, and counseling sessions.
• Follow defined sales and counseling strategies to achieve team and individual targets.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and maintain a positive experience throughout the student journey.

Requirements

• 13 years of experience in student counseling, admissions, inside sales, EdTech, or education consulting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand student requirements and provide appropriate guidance.
• Comfortable speaking with both students and parents.
• Good follow-up, relationship-building, and convincing skills.
• Experience working with CRM tools will be an advantage.
• Interest or basic understanding of research-oriented education and institutions such as IISER, IISc, NEST, and IAT is preferred.
