Amantya Technologies is seeking an experienced 4G/5G Core Testing Engineer to join our engineering team in Gurgaon or Bangalore on a full-time on-site basis. The role focuses on designing and executing test plans for 4G EPC and 5G Core network functions, and validating signaling flows to ensure service reliability.

You will work with cross-functional R&D, use automated test frameworks and industry tools to analyze 3GPP protocols, and contribute to high-availability deployments with strict SLAs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of progressive professional experience in telecom software testing, specifically within 4G/5G Packet Core environments.
• Hands-on experience testing 4G EPC and 5G Core networks and architectural interfaces.
• Comprehensive understanding of 3GPP NAS/NGAP signaling, GTP-C/GTP-U, Diameter, and HTTP/2 protocols.
• Proficiency with telecom test tools and traffic generators (e.g., Spirent Landslide, IXIA, Keysight, Wireshark).
• Strong scripting and test automation in Python, Shell, or TCL.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility in India with local residency and availability for on-site operations in Gurgaon or Bangalore.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication capabilities.

• Validate network slicing, roaming, QoS enforcement, and subscriber policy control mechanisms in 5G SA and NSA setups.

Detailed Job Description

As a 4G/5G Core Testing Engineer supporting advanced mobile networking initiatives at Amantya Technologies in Gurgaon or Bangalore, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of core network testing, protocol verification, and automated test execution. Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing comprehensive test scenarios for 4G EPC and 5G Core network functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, SGW, PGW), analyzing signaling flows, debugging interoperability anomalies, and validating end-to-end subscriber session management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional R&D teams, product managers, and global telecom clients to ensure seamless feature delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for 4G EPC and 5G Core network functions
• Perform rigorous functional, integration, regression, performance, and scalability testing across core network nodes (AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, SGW, PGW)
• Analyze complex 3GPP signaling protocols, Diameter, GTP, HTTP/2, and SIP interfaces using packet analyzers (Wireshark, Spirent, Landslide)
• Troubleshoot network anomalies, isolate defect domains, log detailed bug reports, and coordinate resolution with development squads
• Implement and scale automated test scripts and frameworks using Python, Robot Framework, or Tcl for continuous integration pipelines
• Validate network slicing, roaming, QoS enforcement, and subscriber policy control mechanisms in 5G standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) setups
• Ensure strict adherence to carrier-grade service level agreements (SLAs), 3GPP standards, and high-availability quality metrics
