Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a telecom testing engineer to execute and validate end-to-end testing across 2G to 5G networks. You will analyze logs, validate signaling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deployments.

The role requires hands-on testing across Voice Core and Data Core, with exposure to MSC, HSS, HLR, IMS, EPC, and related protocols. A strong problem-solving mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing of Voice Core and Data Core across telecom generations.
• Experience with core network elements (MSC, HSS, HLR, IMS, EPC).
• Knowledge of SIP, DIAMETER, GTP, CAP, MAP, SS7 protocols.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end telecom testing for Voice Core and Data Core across 2G/3G/4G/5G.
• Validate signaling and call flows across core network elements.
• Run test cases, analyze results, and identify defects.
• Perform log analysis and troubleshoot network issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations to resolve defects.
• Manage defects using standard tracking tools and participate in test lifecycle.
• Ensure end-to-end validation of telecom services and features.
• Create and maintain test documentation and reports.

Your Role

You will be responsible for executing end-to-end telecom testing, validating core network functionalities, analyzing network logs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality network deployments.

• Perform Voice Core and Data Core testing across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.
• Validate signaling and call flows across telecom core network elements.
• Execute test cases, analyze results, and identify defects.
• Perform log analysis and troubleshoot network issues.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to resolve defects and improve system performance.
• Manage defects using standard tracking tools and participate in test lifecycle activities.
• Ensure end-to-end validation of telecom services and network features.
• Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and test execution records.

Your Profile

• Strong experience in Voice Core and Data Core testing across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.
• Hands-on exposure to telecom nodes including MSC, HSS, HLR, IMS, EPC, PCRF, AMF, SMF, and UPF.
• Good understanding of telecom protocols such as SIP, DIAMETER, GTP, CAP, MAP, and SS7.
• Experience in test execution, log analysis, defect management, and end-to-end telecom testing.
• Proficiency with telecom testing and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, ALM, and JIRA.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
