Job summary

Hewlett-Packard India Pvt Ltd in Bangalore is seeking an Information Developer to create, rewrite, and authenticate technical manuals, data sheets, and product descriptions, in collaboration with engineering staff.

You will work with web publishing and documentation tools to produce manuals covering installation, operation, and maintenance of system software and hardware, ensuring clarity and accuracy for worldwide users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical communications, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with HP-UX, Networking and security suite of products.
• Linguistic experience is helpful.
• Experience with web publishing software.
• Experience with documentation authoring tools like FrameMaker, Robohelp, Word, XML.

Responsibilities

• Create, rewrite, edit and authenticate technical user manuals, application papers, product descriptions, data sheets and specification books.
• Coordinate with technical staff to ensure clarity, accuracy and usability of all publications.
• Prepare illustrative material including drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts for manuals.

user manuals, application papers, product descriptions, data sheets and
specification books. Creates documentation in a clear and concise style in
consultation with technical staff. Typically uses web publishing and
development tools to write, in clear and concise language, such technical
documents as procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical
publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of
system software and hardware. Includes writing such technical
documentation as operational specifications, bulletins, articles, and user
manuals. Overseas preparation of illustrative material selecting drawings,
sketches, diagrams and charts.
