Workday Platform Engineer: Core HCM & Platform Automation

Job summary

PlayStation is seeking an experienced People Technology Platform Engineer to design and evolve a global Workday platform across core HR domains.

You will own the design, configuration architecture, and delivery of scalable Workday solutions within an Agile product delivery model, collaborating with Product, Data, and Integration teams to ensure end-to-end, reusable platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of the Workday Core HCM data model and data flows across business processes.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with ownership of defined workstreams or sub-projects.
• Hands-on experience developing Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Composite) used in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable configuration solutions, including business processes, calculated fields, and core system setup.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise platforms, including direct configuration and delivery of Workday solutions.
• Proven track record to independently troubleshoot and resolve system issues across configuration, data, and reporting.
• Experience translating business needs into system solutions, including evaluating trade-offs between speed, complexity, and long-term maintainability.
• Exposure to integrations (e.g., EIB, Core Connectors) and data interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement scalable Workday platform solutions across core HR domains, including business process frameworks, organizational structures, eligibility rules, and calculated fields.
• Own end-to-end delivery of platform changes, including design, build, testing, and deployment readiness.
• Act as a platform owner for assigned Workday domains, accountable for system behavior, design integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver scalable reporting and data solutions as part of the broader People data ecosystem.
• Participate actively in Agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Ensure solutions meet governance, privacy, security, and audit requirements.
