Jones Engineering is offering a work placement for a Quantity Surveying student for 6-12 months across Dublin, Kildare, Cork and mainland Europe locations. You will assist in progress applications, variations, contracts administration, and reporting while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering.
• Understanding of construction industry practices; prior experience helpful but not required.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in MS Office systems is required.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Position: Work Placement - Quantity Surveyor (6-12 Months)

Role Location: Dublin, Kildare, Cork, Mainland Europe (Denmark, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Netherlands, German, Finland – further locations TBC)

Job Description

As a Quantity Surveyor on a 6-12 month work placement, you will gain invaluable experience in our project delivery process. You will assist in various tasks such as progress applications, variation submissions, and contracts administration while supporting the team with weekly and monthly reporting. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts, contributing to the successful delivery of cutting‑edge projects.

This placement offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centre, and construction. Throughout your placement, you will develop your knowledge and skills, setting a strong foundation for your future career.

Your responsibilities will include:

Skills And Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or Engineering.

• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.


• Excellent organisational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.


• Proficiency in MS Office systems is required.
