Adecco is seeking a Welding & Quality Inspector for a North Cork-based engineering business delivering specialist solutions across the pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial sectors. You will ensure quality, compliance and traceability throughout pressure vessel manufacturing, working to ASME and PED standards.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role involves in-process welding inspection, NDT coordination, dimensional checks and maintaining quality documentation to support project delivery

Qualifications

• 3-7 years' relevant experience in pressure vessel manufacturing, welding inspection or heavy fabrication within a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Code, ASME U-Stamp requirements and PED.
• Experience in in-process welding and fabrication inspection, including fit-up, visual weld inspection, dimensional checks and NDT coordination.
• Good understanding of welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SAW.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering specifications, welding symbols and weld maps.
• Experience coordinating inspections with subcontractors, NDT contractors and clients.
• Strong organisational, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and manage inspection activities to manufacturing deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out in-process welding, fabrication, fit-up and dimensional inspections.
• Verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable ASME and PED requirements.
• Ensuring material identification, scanning and traceability throughout manufacturing.
• Coordinating NDT activities, hydrostatic testing and third-party inspections.
• Monitoring welding procedures, welder qualifications and inspection requirements.
• Maintaining quality documentation and supporting the resolution of non-conformances and snags.
