Job summary

BMD & Co Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Management System and client specifications for projects. You will ensure full QMS implementation, promote defect-free delivery, coordinate welding, NDT and pressure testing, and oversee quality records and inspections.

Desirable qualifications include a degree in Quality or Mechanical Engineering, CSWIP/NDT qualifications, and ISO 9001:2008 knowledge; strong communication and organisational skills are essential for this

Qualifications

Degree in Quality Engineering/Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
CSWIP Welding Inspection qualification is desirable.
NDT PCN/SNT Qualification desirable.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 is desirable.

Responsibilities

Ensure the Project Quality Management System is fully implemented.
Promote Right First Time/Defect Free Delivery culture to achieve zero defects.
Coordinate welding, NDT, and pressure testing activities.
Perform quality audits (internal and external).
Manage quality records, welding qualifications, NDT reports, and calibration records.
Inspect daily weld coupons and records; ensure production is inspected.
Review NDT reports for accuracy against standards.
Liaise with client representatives to coordinate inspections and tests.
Oversee subcontractor quality documentation and handover packages.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
