Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is partnering with a family-run hotel in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, to recruit an Events & Sales Executive.

You will plan weddings and events, handle enquiries, and promote the hotel's wedding, conference and events facilities. This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality, customer service, and sales, with flexibility for evenings and weekends. Strong organisational and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in weddings, events, sales or hospitality.
• 3rd level qualification in Hospitality Management/Event Management.
• Flexible and available to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage all queries for weddings and events enquiries and bookings.
• Sell Hotel's Wedding, Conferences and Events facilities.
• Meet with prospective clients for conferences and weddings and showcase the hotel.
• Prepare detailed proposals, contracts and function sheets.
• Coordinate with external suppliers (florists, musicians, car hire).
• Track deposits, contracts and final payments.
• Coordinate with all relevant Hotel departments and stakeholders.

Our friendly events team wants a bright, organised, and social Events and Sales Executive. You will plan great weddings and events. This role fits you if you love hospitality, customer service, or event sales.

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Manage all queries in relation to weddings and events enquiries and bookings.
• Sell Hotel's Wedding, Conferences and Events facilities.
• Meet with prospective clients both conference and weddings and showcase our hotel.
• Prepare detailed documentation (proposals, contracts and function sheets).
• Coordinate with external suppliers (Florists, Musicians, Car Hire)
• Track deposits, contracts and final payment
• Coordinate with all relevant Hotel departments and stakeholders

What are we looking for?

• 2 + years previous experience in weddings, events, sales or hospitality.
• 3rd level qualification in Hospitality Management/Event Management
• Sales-driven with a customer-focused mindset
• Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work evenings and weekends
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events
• Commercially minded with a proactive sales approach.
• Strong presentation skills and professional appearance
