Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a Construction Site Agent for a 12-month specified purpose contract based on an on-site site at Ballyboden, Dublin. You will lead the construction team and subcontractors on heavy civils and pipework installation, ensuring HSE standards and project timing.

Working with Veolia design, project management and client teams, you'll drive safety, quality and progress reporting, with opportunities to develop skills across industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and municipal

Qualifications

Civil or trade background showing progression to management level.
10 years' experience working on multi-discipline site-based projects, preferably water or wastewater.
Up to 10 years' site management experience in water/wastewater industry.
Full clean driving licence.
Excellent oral and written reporting skills.
IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage, operate and run all site activities on behalf of Veolia.
Develop and maintain H&S file on site.
Plan the project effectively with Project Manager and ensure drawings, specs and safety plans are agreed.
Promote highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental management.
Oversee site team and subcontractors in line with Veolia standards.
Review RAMS, lift plans and safety procedures from subcontractors to ensure safe working methods.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and attend client progress meetings.
Schedule and program all on-site work and support project handover.
