Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Water Network Operator to support regional water network operations and deliver reliable water and wastewater services across Ireland. You will perform routine maintenance, monitor systems, and respond to alarms while maintaining communication with customers and internal teams.

The role requires a driving licence and a strong safety mindset, with opportunities to contribute to national operations and local improvements within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
  • Full, clean Irish category B driving licence is minimum requirement.
  • We keep each other safe - experience/understanding of working within a strong health & safety culture.
  • Knowledge of the water network, infrastructure and operations is an advantage.
  • Experience of using IT systems in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the water network and perform routine maintenance on assets.
  • Check chemical dosing and assist with compliance sampling and reporting.
  • Inform customers about issues and resolutions, and escalate where needed.
  • Support Customer teams with queries and coordinate with service delivery in the area.
  • Act as first responder in the field and follow health & safety policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and issue permits to work to contractors.
