Job summary

Uisce Éireann, part of Irish Water, seeks an on-site Operations Technician to support Asset Operations. The role covers operating valves, pumping stations and service reservoirs, and routine maintenance to ensure reliable water services and protect public health.

You will hold a full Irish Category B driving licence, work safely, respond to alarms, and be available for out-of-hours standby. The starting salary is €36,640, with progression based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent work experience.
• Full, clean Irish Category B driving licence.
• Experience in health and safety culture.
• Experience using IT systems.
• Experience working in Water Services or utilities is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate the water network and perform routine maintenance.
• Monitor alarms and participate in incident response as required.
• Assist customer teams and field investigations.
• Work in out-of-hours standby and support health and safety compliance.
