Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Water Network Operator to support regional water network assets, perform routine maintenance, and ensure reliable service to customers across Ireland. You will operate valves, monitor treatment points, resolve issues, and liaise with customer teams while prioritising health and safety.

The role requires a full Irish driving licence, basic IT/system skills, and willingness to work out of hours.

Qualifications

• Secondary level education or equivalent work experience.
• Full, clean Irish driving licence is a minimum requirement.
• Experience in health & safety culture is beneficial.
• Experience using IT systems and basic data reporting.
• Experience in Water Services or other Utilities is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate water network valves, reservoirs and pumping stations to maintain service.
• Monitor dosing and support compliance and sampling activities.
• Inform customers about issues, investigate escalations and resolve where possible.
• Support Customer teams on outages and inquiries affecting service area.
• Respond to alarms and carry out investigations to protect public health.
• Update systems with issue data and close work orders.
• Out-of-hours standby work as required.
