Job summary

Water is seeking a Water Network Maintenance and Repair Team Lead to oversee planned and reactive maintenance across the water network. You will lead a team of Network M&R Operatives, provide direction, coaching, and ensure safe, compliant delivery of maintenance and repairs within your geographic area.

You will manage data, asset performance, and contractor coordination, supporting out-of-hours standby and contributing to regional operation plans while upholding health & safety and customer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years direct relevant experience of working in a similar role within water network & maintenance repair service.
• We work better together—Team Leader skills including coaching, delegation and developing people.
• Effective communication skills to engage with a broad range of internal stakeholders and front-line employees.
• Understanding of key network infrastructure (e.g., pipes, valves, pumps) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of network operatives across the water infrastructure, providing direction and skills to ensure service delivery.
• Capture data relevant to developing operational, maintenance and repair plans.
• Manage and coordinate maintenance and repair of assets, including contractor management.
• Develop team skills through coaching and training in operational activities.
• Ensure health and safety, QA, and compliance with procedures and legislation.
• Oversee administration tasks such as timesheets, work orders and inventory; support road opening licences as required.
