Job Summary
Blink 24 requires a Warehouse Supervisor to work as part of its warehouse team based in our Fonthill, Dublin 22 to assist with day-to-day stock management within the warehouse and to support the sales, retail, logistics and management teams.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Prioritise and manage daily/ weekly/ monthly staff activities, reacting to workload and reprioritising resources as required
- Monitor and record team performance, and review attendance / time keeping and report in line with company policies
- Enforce and champion company policies and proceedures
- Identify areas of improvement, investigate possible solutions and raise with the management team. Review areas of concern with the management team and, where appropriate, provide viable solutions
- Work in collaboration with department teams, stock administrator(s), retail & warehouse teams and the Group Procurement and Logistics teams on a daily basis across Group functions
- Comply with company and legislative Environment, Health, Safety and Welfare requirements
- Monitor health & safety compliance, enforce company policies & legislation in regards to health and safety for all site staff, not just direct reports
- Communicate and co-operate with managers and other departments
- Assist with daily warehouse activities:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with lifting equipment
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse
- Taking goods to the appropriate storage space as well as preparing orders for dispatch (unload, label, store, pick, wrap, dispatch)
- Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly, keeping quality standards high for audits
- Ensuring that warehouse standards are maintained and actively monitoring standards to ensure minimal damages and discrepancies orders.
- Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse is part of the daily routine.
- Lead from the front and by example
- Ability to prioritise and proactively manage workload and solve problems
- Good time management and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, with good communication skills
- Proven working experience in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects, manual handling trained
- Computer literate: use of email is a requirement and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Numbers a distinct advantage
Preferred Additional Skills
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central or other Warehouse Management Ssytem
- Emergency first aid in the workplace
Working Conditions
Work in a warehouse environment. Some manual handling required. Warehouse operates Mon-Fri on a day-shift. Occasional Saturday or weekend work (generally Nov/Dec or in rare instances otherwise as necessitated by the business).
Occasional travel between offices/locations may be required.
