Our client, a leading packaging solutions provider in Limerick, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring high standards across safety, inventory control, materials planning, distribution, and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment in line with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and machinery and promote safe working practices across the warehouse.
- Support material scheduling activities including planning, ordering, and deliveries.
- Oversee product handling, storage, and inventory recording.
- Manage stock control and maintain inventory accuracy through reconciliation with the inventory management system.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing distribution activities in an efficient and timely manner.
- Support wider business operations, including production, as required.
- Develop and support warehouse strategies to drive operational efficiency, storage optimisation, inventory control, waste reduction, and the elimination of SLOBs.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations and clearly communicate priorities, targets, and operational requirements to the team.
- Manage, motivate, and support warehouse personnel to achieve performance targets.
- Identify training and development needs and support the growth of assigned team members.
- Support best practices across warehouse operations in line with company goals and objectives.
- Assist with key tasks, projects, processes, and procedures as required by the Warehouse Manager.
- Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives on site, including 6S, risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Carry out other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Computer literate; SAP experience is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Analytical and numerically minded with strong problem‑solving ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate findings and make recommendations to the wider organisation.
- Clean driver’s license.
- Relevant mechanical lifting equipment licence is desirable.
