Job summary

Ace Express Freight in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, is hiring a Warehouse Operative to ensure safe, accurate handling and movement of goods. The role is full-time but temporary for 6 months, with 7.00am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday shifts, based at Unit 5/6 M1 Business Park.

You will perform order picking, packing, loading/unloading, and scanning, conduct pre-use checks, maintain records, and uphold safety, quality, and customer service standards in a busy warehouse.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ forklift (counterbalance) experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Valid, in-date forklift license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Positive "can do" attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• GDP and HACCP training, desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a range of warehouse and operational duties including order picking, packing, checking, loading, unloading, and scanning in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are maintained in accordance with Company procedures.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects or issues in line with Company procedures.
• Report any load discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Health Safety procedures and keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.

About The Role
