Job summary

Ace Express Freight in Blakes Cross, Lusk, Co. Dublin, is seeking a warehouse operative to safely handle and transport goods, performing order picking, packing, loading, and issuing paperwork.

Requires at least two years forklift experience and a valid license; strong attention to detail, teamwork, and customer service are essential. GDP/HAACP training is desirable and the role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out warehouse duties: order picking, packing, checking, loading, unloading, and scanning safely and efficiently.
• Complete paperwork accurately and keep records per company procedures.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle and equipment checks and report defects promptly.
• Report load discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages as per procedures.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and hazard-free work area following Health & Safety rules.
• Complete required training and comply with company policies and standards.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.

About The Role

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and accurate handling and transportation of goods, while following safe driving practices and complying with Company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Contract Type: Permanent (6-month probationary period).

Working Hours: 8.00am - 5.00pm or 3.00pm-12.00am, Monday - Friday.

Location: Blakes Cross, Lusk, Co. Dublin, K45WY42.

Key Duties of the Role

• Carrying out a range of warehouse and operational duties including order picking, packing, checking, loading, unloading, and scanning in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are maintained in accordance with Company procedures.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects or issues in line with Company procedures.
• Report any load discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Health Safety procedures and keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum two years’ forklift experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Valid, in-date forklift license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Positive "can do" attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• GDP and HAACP training, desirable.
