Job summary

Ace Express Freight is seeking a Warehouse Operator to safely handle, pack, load and transport goods from our Balbriggan site. You will perform pre-use checks, maintain accurate records and uphold health and safety standards in a busy warehouse.

The role offers a permanent contract with a 6-month probation, 8:00am–5:00pm or 12:00pm–9:00pm, Monday–Friday, at Ace Express Freight, Balbriggan. Local candidates with forklift experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years forklift experience in a busy warehouse.
• Valid, in-date forklift license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Positive “can do” attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• GDP and HAACP training, desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a range of warehouse and operational duties including order picking, packing, checking, loading, unloading, and scanning in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are maintained in accordance with Company procedures.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects or issues in line with Company procedures.
• Report any load discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety procedures and keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.

About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and accurate handling and transportation of goods, while following safe driving practices and complying with Company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Contract Type: Permanent (6-month probationary period).

Working Hours: 8.00am - 5.00pm or 12.00pm - 9pm, Monday - Friday.

Location: Ace Express Freight, Unit 5/6 M1 Business Park, Courtlough, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, K32 WY84.
