Job summary

Ace Express Freight is a long-established logistics provider in Ireland seeking a Warehouse Operative with forklift experience. You will perform order picking, packing, loading, unloading and scanning in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining records and adhering to company procedures.

About The Role

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and accurate handling and transportation of goods, while following safe driving practices and complying with Company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Contract Type

Permanent (6-month probationary period).

Working Hours

7am-4pm Monday to Friday then 8:30-5:30 Monday to Friday (two-week rotation).

Location

Ace Express Freight, IDA Business Technology Park, Ballynattin, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 A370.

Key Duties of the Role

• Carrying out a range of warehouse and operational duties including order picking, packing, checking, loading, unloading, and scanning in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are maintained in accordance with Company procedures.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects or issues in line with Company procedures.
• Report any load discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Health Safety procedures and keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.
