Job summary

Ace Express Freight in Ireland is seeking a Warehouse Operative with at least two years forklift experience to join our team in Arklow. You will carry out a range of warehouse duties including order picking, packing, loading, unloading and scanning, ensuring accuracy and safety.

You must hold a valid forklift licence, have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service and teamwork, and be prepared for a structured role with a six‑month probation. GDP/HAACP training is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ forklift experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Valid, in-date forklift license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Positive “can do” attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• GDP and HAACP training, desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out warehouse duties including order picking, packing, checking, loading, unloading, and scanning in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are maintained in accordance with Company procedures.
• Conduct pre-use vehicle and equipment checks, reporting any defects or issues in line with Company procedures.
• Report any load discrepancies, damages, shortages, or overages promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to Health Safety procedures and keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with Company policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Promote a positive and collaborative working environment.
