Job summary

DFDS UK & Ireland is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Ireland. The role combines hands-on warehouse duties with forklift truck operation in a fast-paced operation, with opportunities for overtime and development. You will be responsible for selecting orders, loading/unloading, and maintaining stock accuracy.

We value reliability, a proactive attitude and a strong work ethic. Training may be available for Aislemaster and forklift tasks, with a supportive team

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Aislemaster experience is advantageous and may be trained for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing orders accurately for dispatch
• Operating Counterbalance and Aislemaster forklift trucks safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving, storing, and replenishing stock within the warehouse
• Completing warehouse checks and maintaining stock accuracy
• Following all warehouse procedures and Health & Safety requirements
• Supporting colleagues across the operation to achieve daily targets

About the role

Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you'll support the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the operation. This role combines warehouse duties with forklift truck operation and offers opportunities for overtime and development.

You will be responsible for:

• Picking and preparing orders accurately for dispatch
• Operating Counterbalance and Aislemaster forklift trucks safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving, storing, and replenishing stock within the warehouse
• Completing warehouse checks and maintaining stock accuracy
• Following all warehouse procedures and Health & Safety requirements
• Supporting colleagues across the operation to achieve daily targets

About you

You’ll have previous warehouse experience and hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. Experience operating an Aislemaster would be advantageous, although training may be available for the right candidate.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have a positive, proactive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team. We're looking for someone who is hands‑on, dependable, and willing to learn and progress. A strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment will help you succeed.
