Job summary

DFDS in Rathcoole, Ireland is seeking a hands-on Loader/Offloader to join our warehouse team. You will load and unload goods, move items to storage, inspect shipments, and help maintain safe, efficient operations on a tight schedule.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 14:00-22:00, and requires physical stamina, reliability and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork. DFDS provides comprehensive benefits and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
• Move products to designated storage and staging areas.
• Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Organise and stack products securely to prevent damage.
• Operate manual handling equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts (where certified).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Report damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety concerns; support daily targets.

About The Role

Working Monday to Friday on the 14:00-22:00 shift, you'll play an important role in supporting the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, handling materials safely, and ensuring products are stored and prepared correctly.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Loading and unloading goods from trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently
• Moving products and materials to designated storage and staging areas
• Inspecting shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
• Organising and stacking products securely to prevent damage
• Operating manual handling equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts (where certified)
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Reporting damaged goods, equipment issues, or safety concerns and supporting daily operational targets

About You

You'll ideally have previous experience in a loading, unloading, warehouse, or logistics role and be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Strong attention to detail, good time-management skills, and an understanding of safe material-handling practices are essential.
