Job summary

Rhenus Group in Ireland is seeking an organized warehouse operative to manage end-to-end processes from receiving to shipping, ensuring product knowledge and regulatory compliance. You will handle stock receipts, put-away, cycle counts, picking, and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure accurate information, while maintaining safety and reporting issues to management.

The role also covers driving-related duties and equipment checks as part of daily operations, and requires collaboration

Responsibilities

• End-to-end warehouse tasks from receiving to shipping, ensuring knowledge of products and regulatory requirements.
• Receive and verify stock from vendors and customers, completing paperwork as required.
• Put away stock in designated areas and record locations.
• Conduct cycle-counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Pick and check stock for shipments, completing paperwork.
• Assist system accuracy by handling stock transfers and investigating cycle count discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure accurate information and activity.
• Adhere to customer processes and procedures.
• Support development of receiving, inventory management, and shipping processes.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and locations for smooth operations.
• Understand warehouse layout and suggest improvements.
• Deliver and collect product according to customer instructions; complete PODs and paperwork.
• Ensure timely delivery of customer material requests and alert management to delays.
• Ensure freight is secure during transit and tachograph requirements are met.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and engage with Customer Service for accurate records.
• Take breaks per driver rest guidelines and follow road rules for safe operations.
• Connect and disconnect trailers as needed.
• Operate machinery safely, perform daily checks, report issues to Facilities/Management.
