Job summary

Rhenus Group in Ireland is seeking a warehouse operative to manage end-to-end processes from receiving to shipping, ensuring product knowledge and regulatory compliance. You will unload, receive, put away stock, perform cycle counts, pick and ship, and maintain accurate paperwork.

You will work with Warehouse Management Systems, record storage locations, create picklists, dispatch paperwork, and support IT with WMS queries.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive and check stock from vendors, customers, internal shipments etc., completing appropriate paperwork.
• Put away stock in designated areas, recording locations during process.
• Complete cycle-counts on a regular basis to ensure inventory correctness.
• Pick, check and load/ship stock for vendors, customers, internal shipments etc., completing appropriate paperwork.
• Assist system accuracy by providing/checking important information regarding transfers of stock and investigating cycle count inaccuracies.
• Engage with Customer Service to ensure accurate recording of information and activity.
• Adhere to customer processes and procedures.
• Support development of processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
• Contribute to a safe, accident-free environment by abiding by safety procedures and policies.
• Coordinate business activities with other departments and locations for smooth execution.
• Detrash product as required.
• Dispose of waste as required.
• Receive stock onto WMS, create/update part numbers and locations as required.
• Create picklists on WMS for Warehouse Personnel when orders are received.
• Ship stock from WMS and create dispatch paperwork for Drivers when orders are picked.
• Assist IT Department with WMS queries/updates/changes.
• Visit customer location to put away stock daily.
• Manage end-to-end process (receiving-shipping-put away) of specific supplier/customer stock/product.
• Report facilities issues and machinery defects to Management/Facilities Department.
• Report security breaches to Management/Facilities Department.
• Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding orders, status, complaints etc.
• Conduct investigations with Customer Service/Quality Dept to satisfy inquiries.
• Escalate inquiries/complaints to the appropriate manager/department when necessary.
• Non-conformance reporting in accordance with KPI’s.
• Support health, safety and welfare of all staff and report accidents/near misses.
• Collaborate with Health and Safety Team.
• Champion quality assurance protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and legislation.
• Log customer activity for business purposes as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and development of the team.
