Job summary

IC Resources assists an established semiconductor company in Cork, Ireland to hire a Verification Manager. The role combines technical and leadership responsibilities, staying close to verification strategy, technical discussions and project delivery while guiding a team.

You will influence verification methodologies, develop testbenches and environments, and work across the product lifecycle from early development to silicon, collaborating with design, firmware, software and product engineering

Qualifications

• Experience leading digital verification engineers.
• Strong ASIC or SoC verification background.
• Proficient in SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Experience developing verification strategies, testbenches and environments.
• Familiar with coverage-driven verification and planning.
• Knowledge of Verilog AMS and mixed-signal verification beneficial.
• Experience with embedded processor-based systems.
• Exposure to automotive or safety-critical semiconductor development.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 advantageous.
• Experience with Cadence verification tools.
• Strong communication across design, firmware, software and product engineering teams.
• Hands-on technical approach with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

I’m working with an established semiconductor company that is expanding its engineering organisation in Ireland and is looking to hire a Verification Manager for its Cork site. The Verification Manager role will combine technical and management responsibilities, with the successful candidate remaining close to verification strategy, technical discussions and project delivery rather than becoming purely people focused. The role will give the Verification Manager the opportunity to influence verification methodologies, processes and team development while working across the wider product lifecycle from early development through to silicon.

What They’re Looking For

• Previous experience leading or managing digital verification engineers
• Strong background in ASIC or SoC verification
• Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience
• Experience developing verification strategies, testbenches and verification environments
• Experience with coverage driven verification and verification planning
• Knowledge of Verilog AMS and mixed signal verification would be beneficial
• Experience working with embedded processor based systems
• Exposure to automotive or safety critical semiconductor development
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 would be advantageous
• Experience with Cadence verification tools
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across design, firmware, software and product engineering teams
• A hands on technical approach with strong problem solving skills

This Verification Manager role would suit an experienced Verification Manager or Verification Lead who enjoys staying technically involved while taking responsibility for a team and helping shape how verification is delivered. The company is also open to strong senior verification engineers who have taken on significant technical leadership responsibilities and are looking to make the move into a formal management position.
