Job summary

Citigroup Inc. seeks a UI Technical Lead - Frontend Engineering to own the architectural direction and engineering quality of the Lightspeed UI chapter. This hands-on leadership role balances coding with reviews, mentoring, and technical direction to shape the platform's future.

You'll collaborate with Product, Design, Backend and Platform Engineering, driving high-quality outcomes from idea to delivery while tackling debt and improving systems. A hybrid model with global scale awaits.

Qualifications

Strong frontend engineering and leadership experience with influence on architecture and direction.
Deep hands-on Angular expertise; project runs on Angular v21.
Expert TypeScript skills including advanced types and generics.
Solid understanding of SOLID, design patterns and clean architecture.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve frontend architecture, standards and practices across Lightspeed.
Build production software for complex features, improvements and performance.
Identify and address technical debt and architectural risks proactively.
Lead design reviews and mentoring to raise engineering standards.
Own the component library and design system integration for Lightspeed UI.
Champion AI-assisted development with emphasis on tested, secure code.
Collaborate with Backend and Platform Engineering on integration patterns and CI/CD (Tekton, Jenkins, Harness, TeamCity).
Manage technical Jira work and drive changes through completion.
Work with Product and Design to keep priorities and risks visible.
Mentor UI Developers and support career development.
