The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government. It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities. Businesses managed by the NTMA include borrowing on behalf of the Government and the management of the National Debt, the State Claims Agency (SCA) the New Economy and Recovery Authority (“NewERA”), the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) and the NTMA Future Ireland Funds (FIF) business unit with responsibility for the management of the Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund (ICNF).The NTMA also assigns staff to the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI). The Treasury Operations and Reporting team provides treasury back-office support services to NTMA business units and affiliated entities, principally Funding and Debt Management.
The Treasury Reporting team is responsible for delivering internal and external financial reporting for the National Debt of Ireland, the Post Office Savings Bank Fund (POSB), the Dormant Accounts Fund (DAF), and the recently established investment portfolio of the Social Insurance Fund (SIF).
The successful candidate will join the Treasury Reporting team and report to the Treasury Reporting Manager.
The Treasury Accountant will play a key role in the preparation and review of financial reporting for treasury-related activities, including the National Debt of Ireland and associated investment portfolios. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, supporting statutory reporting requirements, and contributing to ongoing process improvement and project initiatives within Treasury Operations and Reporting.
