Responsibilities

  • Support ISIF team with documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Develop collateral for ISIF ensuring consistent branding.
  • Prepare materials for parliamentary questions and FOI requests.
  • Lead end-to-end monthly meetings: agendas, minutes, actions.
  • Set up workflows for unit committees and boards.
  • Manage travel, invoices, staff expenses, and ad-hoc admin.

Summary of the Business

The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government. It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities. Businesses managed by the NTMA include borrowing for the Exchequer and the management of the National Debt, the State Claims Agency, the New Economy and Recovery Authority ("NewERA"), the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, the Future Ireland Funds and National Development Finance Agency. The NTMA also assigns staff to the National Asset Management Agency, the Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI) and Home Building Finance Ireland (HBFI). The Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) sources and completes investments on a commercial basis in a manner designed to support economic activity and employment in Ireland. In June 2022 ISIF announced a revised impact strategy. This strategy focuses on long-term transformational investments addressing key strategic challenges facing the country. These include climate action, housing and enabling infrastructure, scaling indigenous businesses, and food and agriculture. Role Summary

The purpose of the Business Support Specialist role is to provide comprehensive administrative, operational and business support to ISIF, helping to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of key activities, processes and ideal candidate will be capable of handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. The person must be well-organised and relish the challenges inherent in supporting the unit. The ability to interact with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels sometimes under pressure, is essential. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality/discretion is crucial for this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are equally important. All members of the ISIF team are required to remain flexible to respond to the dynamic nature of the mandate - this may require team members to apply their skills outside of their core areas of responsibility, from time to time.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Support ISIF team in the preparation of documents and reports, excel spreadsheets, power point presentations, letters as required.
  • Assist in the development of collateral for ISIF, working with the team to ensure consistency to the look and feel of Unit's output.
  • This includes developing presentations for internal and external stakeholders and co-ordination of ISIF Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information and media requests.
  • End to end ownership of key functional monthly meetings including scheduling, creating agendas, minute taking and follow up of open actions.
  • Establishment and management of workflow processes for the Unit for various committee and board meetings.
  • Travel management, invoice processing, staff expenses processing and other ad-hoc administrative support for the ISIF team.
  • Such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Preferable: 3rd level Qualification

Pension Abatement
