Job summary

Cpl Group is seeking a Social Care Worker in County Donegal to join a Tusla service delivering trauma-informed care to young people aged 13–17. The role emphasizes building positive attachments and rapport within a team of Social Care professionals to support robust, holistic care.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, promoting the rights of children, organizing personal documentation, liaising with families and agencies, and participating in meetings to monitor progress and safety.

Qualifications

  • Registered Social Care Worker with CORU registered status or eligibility
  • CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification and evidence of application
  • Eligibility for registration in the CORU Social Care Workers Register with evidence of application

Responsibilities

  • Participate in development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans with proper recording
  • Promote rights and responsibilities of each child/young person in the service
  • Promote welfare (physical, emotional, social, religious) of each young person in care
  • Engage in age-appropriate activities and attend meetings related to care and development
  • Prepare and manage household documents, information, and finances for the young person
  • Liaise with parents, family, services and other agencies on behalf of the young person
  • Ensure child protection procedures are followed and report progress to the Social Care Leader/Manager
  • Undertake ongoing professional training and development and report on care progress
