Job summary

Merchants Quay Ireland in Dublin 2 is seeking an experienced Female Project Worker to join Jane's Place, a gender-specific trauma-informed service.

You will work one-to-one with women facing homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges, coordinating group work and in-reach clinics, and supporting a holistic, woman-centred approach.

This 37.5-hour role offers a secure contract and the chance to develop pathways out of disadvantage within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant QQI Level 7 qualification or equivalent in social care, addiction or related field.
• Minimum 3 years relevant employed work experience in busy, low-threshold environment with addiction, homelessness, trauma, mental illness and/or domestic violence.
• Understanding homeless service systems and pathways out of homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Work with female service users (18+) experiencing multiple disadvantages.
• Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide 1:1 emotional support in crisis times.
• Engage with inter-agency services to meet complex needs holistically.
• Facilitate day-to-day operations of a drop-in and appointment-based service.
• Develop and foster women’s groups and peer-led initiatives.
• Advocate to promote access to services and raise awareness.
