Job summary

Galway Simon Community is seeking a Support Assistant to work across our housing service and community support services in County Galway. You will provide practical and emotional supports to clients as part of their overall support plan, alongside Housing Support Officers.

• Minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award in Health Service Skills (5M3782) or Healthcare Support (5M4339).
• 1 year of relevant experience in a care setting.
• Valid, full driver’s licence; access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support clients from diverse backgrounds to maximise health, self-care and wellbeing.
• Work with Housing Support Officers to deliver practical and emotional support.
• Log interventions clearly and maintain organised records on systems.
• Commit to health and safety standards and mandatory training.
