Support Assistants work across our housing service, and community support services. Working alongside our Housing Support Officers, delivering practical and emotional supports to clients as part of their overall support plan.
Clients - Support clients from all backgrounds and experiences, in a calm, effective, trauma informed manner to maximise their health, self-care, education, community engagement, home management skills, and their overall well-being with the goal of independent living.
Compliance - Stay compliant with all organisation policies, stay up to date on mandatory training, participate in routine maintenance, inspections and cleaning in line with health and safety standards.
Service Delivery - Systematically log and record all interventions with and behalf of clients on relevant systems, work in an organised and efficient manner with clear communication within the team to deliver high-quality professional service.
General - Willingness to adapt as needed to support client and service needs.

Qualification – A minimum of aQQI Level 5 Major Award in Health Service Skills (5M3782) or Healthcare Support (5M4339)
Experience - 1-year relevant experience in a similar role in a care setting
Driving - Valid, full driver’s licence; access to own vehicle and ability to obtain insurance for business use (cost covered by organisation)
Knowledge/Experience of homeless sector.
Trauma Informed Approach.
Experience of lone working.
