Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Technical Director/Director to lead and grow our Transport & Mobility Planning practice in Ireland. The role involves strategic leadership, mentoring high-performing teams and expanding our market presence across Ireland and broader UK/Europe projects.

You will work closely with leadership to drive growth, client engagement and cross-disciplinary collaboration, shaping sustainable transport solutions for communities across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading and growing transport planning teams in Ireland.
• Extensive experience delivering complex transport planning projects including business case development and modelling.
• Established relationships with clients and stakeholders across Ireland’s transport sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Transport Planning business in Ireland.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners; identify growth opportunities.
• Lead business development activities, including winning major commissions and shaping proposals.
• Act as a trusted advisor on transport planning and mobility challenges.
• Oversee delivery of high-profile transport projects and drive innovation across teams.
