Job summary

Musgrave Group Plc in Ireland is seeking a Line Manager to join our transport team at the depot. You will support the Regional Transport Manager by organising and managing transport operations to meet service levels for retailers and customers, through continuous improvement and engagement.

The role requires leading a busy transport team, ensuring safety, health and welfare at work, and delivering high‑quality, cost‑efficient service.

Qualifications

Experience in a logistics business with multiple weekly deliveries.
Experience in managing a busy transport department in a high-volume turnover business.
Excellent communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the management of transport operation to meet service levels within budgetary constraints and KPI targets.
Promote safety, health and welfare at work and engage employees.
Motivate and engage the transport team to deliver best-in-class service.
Deal with drivers, suppliers and stores on delivery and collection queries.
Support the Regional Transport Manager with development and implementation of transport functions.
Implement and operate transport software system Stratum.
Manage drivers and operations to create high performing teams and a proactive culture.
Monitor KPI and take timely corrective action.
Ensure compliance with Road Transport, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Quality legislation.
