Job summary

Cpl Group in Cork is seeking an experienced Transport & Logistics Manager to run a busy operation on a full-time basis.

The role requires hands-on understanding of HGVs, driver management and compliance with Irish transport regulations. You will lead a team and coordinate deliveries, ensuring safety and efficiency in day-to-day activities.

This is a hands-on management role that rewards strong organisational skills and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy transport operation.
• Hands-on knowledge of HGVs and related routes.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily deliveries, routes, drivers and vehicles.
• Manage and support a team of drivers.
• Ensure vehicles are available, maintained and compliant.
• Oversee driver hours, licences, CPC, ADR and transport compliance.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs and vehicle inspections.
• Respond to operational issues including breakdowns and driver absences.
• Monitor fleet and driver utilisation and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with depots, customers and internal teams.
• Maintain high safety, compliance and customer service standards.
