Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a leading Irish logistics and food services provider to recruit an experienced Transport Planning Manager. You will lead and develop the transport planning team, optimise delivery operations and ensure efficient use of fleet, drivers and resources while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in transport or logistics management.
• Proven experience managing and developing a team.
• Strong understanding of transport operations, safety and HACCP.
• Excellent data interpretation and performance analytics.
• Leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused with emphasis on service delivery.
• Qualification in Logistics and Transport; CPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the transport planning team.
• Oversee daily/weekly delivery planning and resource utilisation.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost savings.
• Own transport planning KPIs and take corrective actions.
• Ensure Health, Safety, compliance with HACCP and food standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet schedules.
• Monitor transport expenditure and fuel consumption.
• Utilise planning data and reporting to support decisions.
