Job summary

Musgrave in Ireland is seeking a Line Manager to join our transport team at the depot. You will support the Regional Transport Manager by organizing and managing elements of the transport function to meet depot targets and deliver strong service to retailers and customers.

The role requires excellent communication, leadership, and data analysis skills, with experience in busy transport operations, H&S and HACCP knowledge, and the ability to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics business with multiple weekly deliveries.
• Experience managing in a busy transport department in a high-volume business.
• Ability to interpret and analyse data.
• Knowledge of H&S and HACCP requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the transport operation to meet service levels within budget and KPI targets.
• Promote safety, health and welfare at work of all employees.
• Lead the transport team to deliver best-in-class service.
• Deal with drivers, suppliers and stores on delivery and collection queries.
• Support ongoing development and implementation of an efficient transport function.
• Operate transport software system Stratum.
• Manage drivers and operations to create high performing teams.
• Monitor KPIs and implement timely corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with Road Transport, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Quality legislation.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet delivery deadlines.
