Enable Ireland is hiring a Transport & Maintenance Coordinator for North Tipperary Adult Services (Nenagh & Thurles). The role involves managing transport operations, line management of staff, and the upkeep of premises and fleet.

The successful candidate will have experience in operations, driving licence (D1 preferred), and a health & safety qualification, with responsibilities across scheduling, supervision, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year’s experience in working in a similar operational role.
• Must have a full driving licence.
• Must be eligible to work in state.
• Experience coordinating staff and rosters.
• The ability to multitask.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Health & Safety qualification.
• D1 licence.
• Experience working with people with disabilities or a similar environment.
• Wheelchair clamping training.

Responsibilities

• The Transport and Maintenance Coordinator will oversee the operation of the transport service, including weekly transport schedules and supervision of staff.
• They will supervise staff, provide training and development.
• They will handle day-to-day maintenance of premises at Nenagh & Thurles and the transport fleet.
• They will liaise with key stakeholders and ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
• They will act as Health & Safety competent person for the Nenagh & Thurles services.
• They will work with the manager to ensure Health & Safety standards are met and compliant with national standards.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Transport & Maintenance Coordinator to join our North Tipperary Adult Services (Nenagh & Thurles)

Contract Type: Part Time Permanent Contract

Salary: The current salary scale for this post is €35,365 to €54,027 pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post:

The Transport and Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the operation of the transport service including: completion of weekly transport schedule, line management of assigned transport staff and responsibility for their supervision, training and development.

They will also be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the premises at Nenagh & Thurles and the transport fleet, while liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety Legislation.

They will act as Health & Safety competent person for the Nenagh & Thurles services and work with the manager to ensure Health & Safety standards are met within the services are compliant with national standards.
