Enable Ireland in Cork is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join the Cork Adult Services team, covering Day Services, Residential and Respite Services.

This role offers Permanent, Fixed Term, Temporary and Relief contracts with a salary scale of €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum and 30 days annual leave pro rata. Training opportunities and wellbeing benefits are included.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Healthcare Support, Social Care, Pre Nursing, Disability Care Skills or Childcare
• Health-related area (e.g. SNA)
• Year 1 of a relevant health/ social care degree
• Full Clean Manual Driving Licence and willingness to drive company vehicles
• Be eligible to work in Ireland

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Support Worker to join our team in Cork Adult Services, i.e Day Services, Residential and Respite Services.

Contract Type: Permanent, Fixed Term, Temporary and Relief

Contract Hours: Full-time, Part-time and variable hours

Salary Scale: €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum.

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 30 days pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post: The role of Support worker is to work as part of a dedicated and innovative team to provide person centred services to children and adults with disabilities who attend Enable Ireland Services.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

• QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in one of the following:
• Healthcare Support
• Social Care
• Pre Nursing
• Disability Care Skills
• Childcare

OR

• Health related area

OR

SNA Qualification

OR

• Year 1 of a relevant degree programme in Health and Social Care (such as Social Care, Child Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy)

AND

• Full Clean Manual Driving Licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.

AND

Be eligible to work in the state

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Experience of working with people with behaviours of concern.
• Experience of providing personal care
• Basic IT skills
