Job summary

Enable Ireland in Dublin South East is seeking an outreach support worker to provide community and centre-based afterschool supports to children and young people with additional needs.

The role requires weekday afterschool hours and some weekend work, with a person-centred approach and individualised programmes. A QQI 5 qualification and driving licence are essential.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Outreach Support Worker to join our team in Dublin South East (CHO6). We have part-time opportunities within our teams in Sandymount.

Contract Type: Permanent Post

Contract Hours: This post will require weekday afterschool work and weekend work. Core hours for service delivery will be Monday to Friday 14:30-19:30. Flexible hours up to 25 hours a week will be considered.

Salary Scale: €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service

Overview of the Post:

The purpose of the role is to work as a member of the team providing community and centre-based afterschool supports to children/young people whose needs have been identified through their CDNT. To work with the children/young people through a person-centred approach delivering individualised programmes tailored to each of their needs and interests. This post will involve weekday and after school hours and weekend work.

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Community Care, Social Care, Childcare or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 years' experience working with children/young people and families in a professional setting.
• Experience working with children/young people with a physical disability and ASD.
• Full clean manual drivers licence and access to their own transport.
• Right to work in the country.
• Experience delivering services in outreach setting
